I’m starting to fall on the same side of Sanders here but it’s hard to say an unemployed person here matters more than a life in Syria. That feels too insular to me.
Sanders, I think, is referring to the frustration people are feeling from budget cuts related to the sequester. We cut money to programs like welfare, college education, high school education, roads, medicare/medicad, etc because we cannot find the money.
But, if there is a military action needed… we have billions to fund that without blinking an eye.
